Rob Cunningham has enjoyed an extensive and successful career in information technology and is currently a computer systems analyst in Tallahassee, FL. His intellectual interests are wide-ranging. After receiving his bachelor's degree in music from Duke University in 1970 and pursuing further study at the Juilliard School, he remained active as a pianist and especially as a composer, developing a highly original, complex, and chromatic Romantic style, which was realized in a profusion of works for various media. He obtained a master's degree in composition from Georgia State University in 1995 and a Ph.D. in music theory from Florida State University in 1999. His doctoral dissertation analyzes "Harmonic Prolongation in Selected Works of Rachmaninoff, 1910-1931" |
