The author is a strong advocate of the benefits of a physically and mentally active lifestyle. He has completed five marathons (including the prestigious Boston Marathon on two occasions), an Ironman, and many other triathlons, road races, centuries, open-water swims, and other endurance events. His latest intellectual project is a Windows-based program called GALOIS for finding and analyzing finite mathematical groups. Although the program is still in its developmental stages, a recent version of its executable is available for download. Home
