On the Nonfulfillment of Contractual Obligations (optional material)
If Crusoe acquires a value from Friday in exchange for a promised service and then fails to provide that service, then he has committed fraud, which is a form of force (p. 4.5:10). In this instance, however, the violation consists not in Crusoe's failure to act per se, but in the breach of a voluntary contractual arrangement, to which Crusoe previously committed himself by a positive action.
