Dialogue 2:  Another party, whom we shall call MYSTIC B, engages the ever-gullible AGNOSTIC in speculation.
MYSTIC B:I'm convinced there are imperceptible gremlins in the Oval Office.*
AGNOSTIC:Well, if they are imperceptible, how do you know they are there?
MYSTIC B:I can't prove they are there, of course. In fact, I really don't have any evidence or logic for the idea at all. But can you prove they are not there?
AGNOSTIC:OK. So it is possible that they are there, although improbable.
MYSTIC B:So if there is no evidence one way or the other as to the existence of something, you at least accept it as a possibility?      Next page
